Laser Etched Linoleum Printmaking
Instructor: Jeremy Tinianow
There’s nothing quite like a beautiful letterpress print, but the price tag is just too high. Until now that is. In this class students will learn how to print a simple one-color card on the cheap using laser-etched linoleum and a bottle jack printing press. The process of preparing artwork, etching the linoleum, and printing the final piece will be covered in this course, in addition to basic letterpress printmaking principles.
No previous knowledge of printmaking is required. It is, however, highly recommended that students have already taken our Intro to Laser Cutting and Engraving class.
Custom Rubber Stamps
Instructor: Jeremy Tinianow
Stamps are a wonderful way to leave your mark on anything from personal correspondence to business marketing material. This class will cover the process of creating a custom stamp using the laser cutter. Students will gain an understanding of artwork and file preparation, as well as best practices using the laser cutter.
Students who already have a design they would like to etch must e-mail either a 300dpi one-color raster (png, tiff, or bitmap) or eps file to firstname.lastname@example.org at least two days before the class. Designs should be no larger than 1” x 3”.
It is highly recommended that students have already taken our Intro to Laser Cutting and Engraving class.
