Join us at the Columbus Idea Foundry for our second Raspberry Jam, from 10 am – 2 pm Saturday, March 2nd.
This event is free and open to the public! Bring along your Raspberry Pi and an SD card to share & swap program sketches!
Light refreshments will be available.
What is Raspberry Pi?
Developed by a UK charity, the Raspberry Pi serves as a functional mini-computer you can hold in the palm of your hands for $25-35.
With a little accessible open source programming booted from an SD card, you can hook up USB, audio, and even high-def video to run all kinds of cool things on the RPi.
The educational community has pounced on this inexpensive resource to meet STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) goals and introduce programming skills to kids. But its reach now spans to small business solutions, hospitals and charities are using these to control displays and interactive features, and has made its way to developing countries as an alternative to a desktop PC.

How do I learn more?
Our own Ethan Dicks is now a contributor to the Make: blog! You can follow as he hacks a retro arcade setup using the Raspberry Pi HERE.
Ethan teaches classes at the Columbus Idea Foundry on the Raspberry Pi, Arduino, 3D printing, and other electronics-related topics.
Check out his upcoming classes HERE.
