Jewelry-making Basics: Wire Working a Pendant & Ring

Description:

Design and construct your own jewelry to suit your own fashion or to make it a handmade  holiday this year!

Learn the basics of wire working for jewelry and make your own pendant and wire ring.  You'll learn: the difference between different wire material, coating, and gauges, wrapping and working with wire without scratching coatings, using a mandrel for ring sizing, adding beads and more.  You'll walk away with both a wire tree pendant AND a wire ring in your own size!  Your class fee includes a materials kit with all the wire and beads you'll need to complete the projects.  Please bring a pair of pliers with silicone covers (wire-working pliers are available in the jewelry making aisles at places like JoAnns, Michaels and Hobby Lobby).  Bring a mandrel if you have one or share ours.  We will have ring sizers available to check your size.

Taught by Etsy Team Columbus leader and jeweler Casey McCarty whose work can be found in several central Ohio boutiques.
