2-part Investment Mould Making and Casting Class

Description:

This class is about making a two part investment mould, and then casting into the mould.

It will take two weekends, the first to make the mould and the second to cast the metal.

Students will get the basics of making a two-part investment mould. Students will learn about 'draft' and parting lines. Students will get hands on help in making their own moulds. Once the moulds are made we will let them dry a week and then cast bronze into them.

Safety around the foundry will be discussed and enforced.

Different metals can be cast.
