This class will give you a running head start programming graphics with Processing.

Three two-hour sessions

• Session 1 - Particle Emitter Intro
  • We start with something that already works, and help you understand how all of the pieces of code fit together.
    • Loops, variable types, arrays and if/else statements
    • Loading in images and drawing shapes
    • The basic flow Processing
• Session 2 - Controlling your application
  • Review of your out-of-class work.
  • Creating interactivity
    • Mouse controls
    • Keyboard controls
    • Making buttons
• Session 3 - Physical controls
  • Review of your out-of-class work.
  • Kinect-ing to your application (Kinect-based input)
    • Getting data from a skeleton
  • More graphics types and basic animation concepts
